TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms and Conditions”) set out the rules for visiting the Living Museum of Obwarzanek (hereinafter referred to as the “Museum”).

2. A visit to the Museum consists of participation in an obwarzanek-making workshop (hereinafter referred to as the “Workshop”). Workshops are held at the Living Museum of Obwarzanek, located at 4 I. Paderewskiego Street in Kraków. During the Workshop, participants learn about the history and tradition of making obwarzanek krakowski and make their own obwarzanek by hand. Each participant receives their own obwarzanek, which is not considered a food product within the meaning of applicable sanitary regulations.

3. The number of places available for each Workshop is limited. Individual visitors can purchase tickets through the online booking system available on the Museum’s website. Upon arrival at the Museum, visitors are required to present their ticket to Museum staff.

4. Purchasing a Workshop ticket constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. The Terms and Conditions are available on the Museum’s website and from Museum staff.

5. Current ticket prices are available on the Museum’s website. The Museum reserves the right to apply different ticket prices outside its regular opening hours. All prices include 23% VAT.

6. Discounted tickets are available to children, school students, university students under the age of 26, people with disabilities and their carers, and seniors aged 65 and over. Children under the age of 3 accompanied by an adult may participate in the Workshop free of charge. This applies to individual tickets only.

7. Additional discounts are available to holders of the Kraków Family Card 3+ (Krakowska Karta Rodzinna 3+), Large Family Card (Karta Dużej Rodziny), “N” Card and My Kraków Tourist Card. These discounts apply to individual tickets only.

8. Payment can be made in cash or by card. If a VAT invoice is required, this should be requested in advance.

9. Group ticket rates apply to groups of at least 12 people. Smaller groups are charged a fixed Workshop fee regardless of the actual number of participants.

10. Package tickets are available for groups of at least 20 children.

11. For school and kindergarten groups, up to three accompanying adults may participate in the Workshop free of charge.

12. The maximum number of participants in group Workshops is 70 children or 55 adults, divided between three Workshop rooms.

13. Group reservations

Advance booking is required for all group Workshops.

  • Workshop reservations must be made using the reservation form available on the Museum’s website.
  • The person making the reservation declares the expected number of Workshop participants. This number may be reduced by a maximum of 5 people per group. If fewer participants attend, the person making the reservation is required to pay for the declared number of participants minus a maximum of 5 people. The number of participants may be adjusted without additional cost no later than 7 days before the visit.
  • A reservation is considered confirmed once the following deposit has been received: PLN 100 for a group using one Workshop room, PLN 150 for a group using two Workshop rooms, or PLN 200 for a group using three Workshop rooms.
  • The deposit must be paid within 3 business days of making the reservation, using the payment link provided in the booking confirmation.
  • The remaining balance, after deduction of the deposit, must be paid at the Museum before the Workshop, either in cash or by card.
  • The Workshop date may be changed or the reservation cancelled no later than 7 days before the scheduled visit.
  • If a reservation is cancelled or changed less than 7 days before the scheduled visit, the person making the reservation is required to cover the cost of preparing the Workshop, equivalent to the booking deposit.
  • Groups are required to arrive on time. Due to the nature of the Workshop, late groups may be refused admission. In such cases, the person making the reservation will be required to cover the cost of preparing the Workshop, equivalent to the booking deposit.
  • Adults accompanying groups of children are required to remain with the children throughout the Workshop and cooperate with the Workshop instructor, including assisting with distributing materials and labelling the children’s work.
  • Making a Workshop reservation constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

14. Customers have the right to submit a complaint at any time by email to biuro@muzeumobwarzanka.com, by post or in person. Complaints will be reviewed within 14 days. A response will be provided by email or post.

15. Museum staff reserve the right to refuse admission to participants who arrive late.

16. Audio and/or video recording during Workshops is prohibited.

17. Persons who are intoxicated or whose behaviour may pose a threat to others will not be admitted to the Workshop.

18. Museum staff are not responsible for children left unattended during Workshops. Parents or guardians are responsible for minors in their care.

19. The Museum is not responsible for personal belongings left unattended on Museum premises.

20. Personal Data Protection. The controller of personal data is Marta Krzyżek-Siudak, conducting business under the name MADE IN KRAKOW, with its registered office at ul. Mjr. Łupaszki 7/22, Tax Identification Number (NIP): 6792699928, REGON: 122942578. Personal data is processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR) and the Polish Act of 10 May 2018 on the Protection of Personal Data, to the extent necessary to process reservations, ticket sales, workshops, payments and complaints. Data subjects have the rights provided for under applicable data protection laws, including the right to access, rectify or erase their personal data, restrict its processing and, where applicable, the right to data portability, the right to object to processing and the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych). Where processing is based on consent, consent may be withdrawn at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal.
