Obwarzanek Museum is a place born out of love for Kraków and its unique traditions. We know that the obwarzanek krakowski is not just a street snack, but an iconic symbol of the city, present here for over 600 years! Since November 2017, we’ve been sharing its story in a unique, interactive way.
Our workshops are a fantastic attraction for children, teenagers, families, couples, seniors, school groups, and tourists. During your visit, you’ll learn about the history of the obwarzanek, and then… you’ll make your very own one by hand! We parboil and bake it for you, and you take home a fragrant souvenir along with an apprentice baker’s diploma.

We promote the obwarzanek not only in our museum – you can find us at events all over Poland and even abroad. It’s hard to count all the initiatives we’ve taken part in as partners, co-organizers, or sponsors. We’re also the creators of Obwarzanek Day – a holiday dedicated to this special baked good, which is growing more popular every year.

If you’re looking for original Kraków souvenirs, our little shop won’t disappoint! You’ll find handmade, locally inspired products: magnets, mugs, socks, toys, sweets, and many more items from local artists and social enterprises.
The pandemic didn’t stop us – we’ve kept going and we’re hungry for more! In December 2023, we opened a third workshop room… and we’re not stopping there!
We believe our work impacts our surroundings. That’s why we developed our own sustainable development policy, aligned with ESG standards. Our efforts have been verified and confirmed by the Good Travel Seal certificate.
